San Francisco, Panama.
No, we are not talking about the Golden Gate Bridge or Rice-A-Roni. Our San Francisco is based in the province of Veraguas, Panama. A few kilometers away from the third largest, non-active volcano of Panama, you will find our 1,000 hectare avocado and citrus operation. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, the climate perfect, the soil rich and the water is flowing.
The micro climate, with a temperature difference of 10 to 15 degrees, stresses the plant just enough for them to produce flowers and fruits quickly. It’s truly a spectacular land and we’re lucky to have it.
Can you say… pollinators.
Our plants are pollinated with much love by Africanized bees. Those bees are endemic from the North of Peru to the South of Mexico. They are super resistant. Because of their natural aggression, you need to know how to manage them, but once they are used to your presence, they become harmless. Not only do they make your crops more productive, they will even produce super awesome organic honey. In about a year, we will be producing citrus and avocado honey.
